VidMage suits people who want regular free swaps with clean exports and no account, and Mac owners who would rather process media on their own machine. Its licence is for personal, non-commercial use, which rules it out for client and shop work.

01VidMage overview

The free quota is the headline. According to the pricing page (checked 26 Oct 2026), the web tool resets daily to 15 image swaps, 20 seconds of video and 2 GIFs, and exports carry no watermark. Free clips are capped at 15 seconds and 100MB each, so trim recordings before uploading. Group scenes are covered too: the multi-face video tool maps up to 4 faces in one pass, each to its own uploaded photo.

Paid use stays modest: US$14.99 a month buys 400 credits, a yearly plan works out to about US$8.33 a month, and a 500-credit top-up costs US$9.99 without any subscription. Subscribers can process clips up to 300 seconds and 1,024MB. The limits are elsewhere. The terms grant a personal, non-commercial licence, 4K output is reserved for the Mac app, and the privacy policy mentions both a 2-hour and a 24-hour deletion window.

05VidMage privacy and uploads

Files processed on the web are removed from the servers within 2 hours, the privacy policy says, and the About page adds that uploads, prompts and outputs are never used for AI training. A later line in the same policy refers to a 24-hour deletion window for identifiable content, so plan around the longer figure. The Mac app processes media on the computer and, per the product pages, sends nothing to the cloud.

06The Mac app and on-device processing

Alongside the browser tool there is a native app for Apple Silicon Macs. According to the product pages, it processes photos, videos, GIFs and target faces on the computer itself, so nothing is sent to a server. It adds a live face swap that works during video calls and is the only route to 4K output. The free tier runs on the Mac client without an account, though live previews on that tier carry a watermark.

On-device processing matters if you edit family videos and would rather not upload them anywhere. The app targets M1 and later Macs; everyone else uses the web version. For phone-first options, see our face swap app comparison.

07What the VidMage terms let you do

The terms of service are narrower than the product pages suggest. The licence covers personal, non-commercial use, so product videos, paid client edits and shop advertising fall outside it. The terms also say the company marks face-synthesis content and that users may not remove that marking. Under the same terms, using someone else's face needs that person's agreement, so stick to your own face or friends who have agreed to it.

Abuse reports sent to the address on the site are reviewed within 24 hours, according to the product pages. If a swap of you turns up somewhere it should not, that is the first step, and our deepfake detector guide helps you check a suspicious clip.

08Free and paid limits side by side

  • Images: 15 free a day, then 1 credit each
  • Video: 20 free seconds a day, clips up to 15 s and 100MB, then 1 credit per second
  • GIF: 2 free a day, then 1 credit per second
  • Subscribers: clips up to 300 s and 1,024MB
  • 4K and offline processing: Mac app only

At 1 credit per second, the 400 monthly credits cover a little under 7 minutes of video, or 400 photo swaps. Batch face swap processes several photos at once, which helps with event albums. Compare these allowances with other no-cost options in our free face swap rankings, or see the video face swap guide for longer clips.

10VidMage FAQ

Is VidMage really free without a watermark?

On the web, yes, within the daily quota: 15 image swaps, 20 seconds of video and 2 GIFs, with no account and no watermark on exports. The quota resets each day. Free video clips are limited to 15 seconds and 100MB, so trim longer recordings first. Live face swap previews in the free tier of the Mac app do carry a watermark.

How much is VidMage in Malaysia?

The monthly plan is US$14.99 for 400 credits, about RM 61.22 at Bank Negara's 26 Oct 2026 rate. A yearly plan works out to roughly US$8.33 a month, and a one-off top-up of 500 credits costs US$9.99, about RM 40.80. Payment is taken in US dollars, so your card statement may show a slightly different ringgit total.

Can I use VidMage for business videos?

Not under the terms as published: the licence covers personal, non-commercial use. Until the company confirms a commercial licence for paid plans, use a service that states one, such as Magic Hour, for product demos, client edits and shop ads. Personal projects such as family clips, birthday greetings and memes for friends fit the licence.

Does VidMage keep my photos?

Web uploads and results are deleted automatically within 2 hours, according to the privacy policy and About page, though the policy also mentions a 24-hour window for identifiable content. The company states that no uploads, prompts or outputs are used for AI training. With the Mac app, processing happens on your computer, so files stay there.

Can VidMage swap several faces in one video?

Yes. The multi-face video tool swaps up to 4 different faces in a single pass, mapping each to a photo you upload. Free users are bound by the 15-second clip cap, so longer group scenes need credits or a subscription. For photo albums, batch mode processes several images at once; see our group face swap guide for alternatives.
